The Sustainable Teacher

is a podcast for educators who have come to realize that although they wouldn’t dream of leaving this career field they are made for, something has to give in order for them to make it past year 5 or 10 or 15+.  Designed to bring a fresh perspective to all classrooms where what’s best for the student means doing everything we can for them while also not sacrificing the most influential person in the room - their teacher - in the process, this podcast will come alongside you, the number one impact on students’ academic success as you step into that truly amazing role.

There may be a hundred things working against teachers on any given day that we have no  control over, but we believe in the impact of even one teacher who is supported through sustainable systems in his/her own classroom.  Every episode will be a focus on encouragement for teachers, and strategies to help them reach a more manageable level of life both in and out of the classroom so they are able to stay there longer.

Teach On A Mission

Welcome to The

Sustainable Teacher Podcast

I’m your host Mandy Rice of teachonamission.com

and each week we’ll dive in to chat about effective strategies, doing more than just keeping your head above water, and most things teacher-life related all in hopes of reaching a more sustainable classroom so you can stay there longer.

I’m a former high school teacher and new found teacher-business owner who is obsessed with encouraging and lifting up teachers as the number one influence on our children’s academic success today, and we are officially here to change the narrative around how teachers are supported in the field of education.  As teachers, ain’t nobody got time for one hundred new strategies and hour-long podcast episodes, so I promise to keep it short with bite-sized approaches to all things sustainable teacher lifestyle. Let’s get to it.
